The 2022 Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIA) gala lit up the International Convention Centre in Sydney on Monday, June 13, 2022, celebrating its 10th anniversary in spectacular style. Presented by Mocha Publishing, the event honoured the resilience and creativity of the Australian beauty industry, following the challenges of recent years.

More than 800 hairdressers and salon teams gathered to celebrate the achievements of individuals and businesses in categories spanning specialist, creative, educational, and business excellence. The awards showcased the incredible talent and innovation that define our industry.

A Show-Stopping Event

The gala was hosted by Adam Williams, creative director, host, and media personality, whose vibrant energy made the evening unforgettable. Adam also produced two dazzling shows featuring:

• 33 models and dancers

• Runway hair created by teams from O&M, ghd, and Revlon Professional

• Hair extensions provided by Amazing Hair

The creative brilliance on display highlighted the artistry that makes hairdressing an ever-evolving and inspiring field.
