Inspo: The Joi of Creativity with JOICO Guest Artist Carolyn Gahan

Updated: Dec 2, 2024

As someone who lives and breathes creativity, being a JOICO Guest Artist and Australian Ambassador has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. It’s a platform that allows me to inspire and connect with fellow stylists, create transformative colour moments, and work with a brand that shares my passion for excellence and innovation.

My Lockdown Transformations

Lockdown was a time of reflection, growth, and, yes, a lot of colouring! Some of my favourite transformations were born during those months—taking clients on journeys to vibrant hues, seamless blends, and bold, confidence-boosting looks. It reminded me of the power hair has to uplift and transform, especially during uncertain times.

My Advice for Colour Clients

When it comes to colour, communication is everything. Here’s my top advice:

  1. Be clear about your goals: Bring photos, share your vision, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

  2. Trust the process: Achieving the perfect colour, especially for dramatic transformations, takes time.

  3. Invest in maintenance: Using quality products (like JOICO!) ensures your colour stays fresh and your hair stays healthy.

Why JOICO?

Partnering with JOICO was an easy decision for me. Their superior colour technology and focus on hair health make them a standout in the industry. Whether it’s their vibrant hues, expert blonding tools, or damage-defying treatments, JOICO helps me deliver incredible results while protecting my clients' hair.

Their commitment to artistry and innovation inspires me every day, and being part of the JOICO family means being surrounded by like-minded creatives who push me to be my best.

Sharing the Joi

Through my journey with JOICO, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with talented stylists, transforming clients, and creating looks that bring joy to everyone involved. It’s a career built on passion, collaboration, and a touch of colour magic—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
